On the terroir of the Golden Triangle

A 12-hectare family estate planted on a clay-limestone terroir in Cuers, in the heart of the Côtes de Provence ‘Golden Triangle’ comprising the communes of Puget Ville, Pierrefeu and Cuers.

The vineyards are managed using sustainable agriculture methods. The Mediterranean climate provides maximum sunshine for the vines planted in very stony soils on a clay matrix typical of the ‘gavroches’.

History

Created in 1910 by the Fabre family, this 47-hectare estate is located in Cuers in the heart of the Côtes de Provence appellation, in the Golden Triangle terroir. Today, the vineyard is farmed organically by Frédéric Fabre, President of the Terra Provincia winery.

Vineyard and terroir

The very stony soils with a red sandy-clay matrix enable the grapes to reach perfect ripeness while preserving a fine balance.

The warm, dry Mediterranean climate favours ripening and healthy grapes.
Surface area of vines: 47 hectares

Vinification

The grapes are harvested on the basis of ripeness checks.

For the rosé and white wines, the grapes are destemmed, cooled and gently pressed to extract the best juice.
